James Adaryll Tapp, Jr. (September 9, 1977 - November 26, 2003), better known as Soulja Slim, was an American rapper from New Orleans. He is probably best known for his hit single "Slow Motion".
Early Life[]
James was raised in the Magnolia Projects in New Orleans. He attended "Booker T. Washington High School" and later dropped out of school in his sophomore year.
Death[]
On November 26, 2003, James was fatally shot by an unknown gunman in the front lawn of the home of his mother and stepfather. He was shot four times, three times in the face and once in the chest. The police later dropped the case because they couldn't find the gunman. He was buried with his jewelry and leather camo clothes that he wore on his covers. James was only 26 years old.
